2014 has been AMAZING to say the least! I got to work with so many
fantastic
people! Every one of my brides and grooms are so special to me. I absolutely loved getting to capture each unique and gorgeous wedding day! The same goes for family and newborn sessions as well. Each and every family that I worked with was so wonderful. A lot of them were families I have worked with in the past, which makes it that much more special to see how each family has changed and grown! This year was the first year that I felt like "this is it", this is what I do. I don't do this on the side. It's my career! I had a lot of "I can't believe this is my job moments" this year while at a wedding or during a family session. I feel incredibly blessed to be able to do what I love for a living, and I am so thankful.
What made this year even more awesome was my second shooter, Marissa. She owns her own business as well and I often second shoot for her. She has quickly become one of my best friends and we talk to/see each other a few times a week! I am so thankful for her friendship and the way that the two of us have grown together as photographers! She's just the best!
I wish I could write something about every single photoshoot and wedding from this year but I would be writing ALL night and no one would read a 30 page post :p. Here are some of the highlights from this year :)
In February I tried something a little new and held stylized Valentine's Day mini sessions. My friend Katalina helped with all the set up and it looked so adorable! Thinking about doing them again this year, if I can find a space :)
We started off the year with Ashley and Matt's wedding in April. This wedding gave me my first experience of driving a golf cart...which I quickly got the hang of (thank goodness!)
In May I got the awesome opportunity to shoot one of my best friend's weddings in San Diego! My first destination wedding!

At Rita and Kirk's Wedding the whole bridal party was on the news when News12 NJ interviewed the bride and groom asking them what they loved about Point Pleasant. It was definitely a unique experience and made for some great photos!
In October I shot my favorite mini sessions of the year...Fall mini sessions! The weather was absolutely perfect both days and the families were all so much fun to work with :)
In November we shot a beautiful Fall wedding in Brooklyn. We got to photograph the bridal party at the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens. So gorgeous!

I will never get tired of photographing this adorable family! This year I met up with them at
. It is one of my favorite places for photos because it is just gorgeous all year round. (If you ever need an idea of where to do photos I suggest here!) I can't get over how big these boys have gotten since the first time I took their pictures. It was really fun getting to meet their cousin and her family too this time around! I could go on and on about how adorable these kiddos are but I'll let you see for yourself :)

Woah! This season has been such a whirlwind but I've had such an amazing time working with so many wonderful families, including this one! They are a super sweet and very stylish family! They even brought their pup along for some photos and he was just a photogenic as his family. :)

I just love this family! You may recognize them from several other blog posts over the past 3 years :) This year they wanted to incorporate pumpkins into their fall session which the girls look absolutely adorable sitting on! I can't get over how much these girls grow each year. Such a beautiful family!

I had the pleasure of photographing this family last Fall at Holmdel Park and I was so excited when they reached out to me this year about doing a beach session. The night we choose could not have been more beautiful! The little ones had so much fun running around the beach looking for rocks and shells, and I had fun laying in the sand to capture them as usual ;). This family is just beautiful inside and out!

You may recognize these three pretty ladies from a recent wedding I shot, Rita & Kirk's! Back in May, Rita and her sisters decided to get some photos done for their mom for mother's day. They had the cute idea of getting some shots of them on the playground just for fun! These girls are all so photogenic and the cute outfits they were all wearing gave every photo a great pop of color! It started raining during the session but that just gave us an excuse to play with the big white umbrella :)

I had the pleasure of photographing this sweet family on a beautiful spring afternoon in April. They are excitedly awaiting the arrival of baby number 3! After the LONG winter we had we were thrilled to see flowers in bloom and couldn't help but get a few shots of the kids with them! I was so happy to be able to capture such an exciting time for this family. I hope to capture more special memories for them in the future :)
